Impotence can be diagnosed when a man is not able to, firstly, achieve and then, hold an erection. Although, impotence is one of the stages in a man’s sexual life, it is considered unusual if the person is not able to achieve and hold erection that is sufficient for a complete intercourse in at least one, out of every four time.
Even though impotence is common in aged men, it is wrong to consider it as a usual part of maturity. Impotence can many times be removed from men belonging to all ages.
The first step in curing impotence is early precaution of the problem. Men should not indulge in habits like drinking, smoking, drugs, overeating; etc that would reduce the flow of testesterone to the penis and therefore erection becomes difficult. Men who suffer from diabetes, Obesity, heart problems, etc, should also take regular medication in order to delay impotency.
Many men find it shameful, awkward, and fearful in talking about their sexual problems with friends and even in consulting a doctor. Some men do not consult a doctor and take medication, thinking that their impotence is due to their age and not other reasons. This further increases the problem rather than reducing it. It is important consult the correct doctor. Sometimes, if impotence in men is neglected, it might lead to problems that can become serious. Nearly 7, out of every ten men who are impotent are victims of diseases like kidney problems, heart problems, thyroid, diabetes, etc. Some reasons are also due to mental stress. Wound on the sexual area is another reason. Apart from these physical causes, impotency is also a result of fear, anxiety and sexual failure.
So, Don’t hide your capable asset. Go out and consult your friends or doctors. Everything can be held straight, it’s just that you should know the right path to make it straight.
